Architecture Office Building, Djibouti, Ethiopia.
In terms of architecture we have tried to make the structure as least complicated as possible. Since our client wanted their own warehouse with an addition of other rental warehouses, we segregated the user movements accordingly. The plot is rectangular with East and West as the longer faces. As we wanted the design to work with the climatic situations and not against it, we zoned the buildings in such a way that the warehouses and the shops were towards the longer face and were placed linearly for ease of loading and unloading throughout. We were also restricted with the 1/3 ground coverage of the plot and that made us go for G+2 structure.
All in all, the architectural features that are notable are due to the intense thought process that occurred for every small detail to make the structure simple but effective.
